It's very large..
From here.
Name : Kenai
Age : Roughly 3 and 1/2.
Gender : Mare
Breed : Konik
Height : Just above average at 14 hands.
Alliance : Nuetral; but leans for towards the Light side usually.
Ages in : Summer, 7-19-12
Personality : Depending on her mood, Kenai can be a very loving and compassionate mare, or she could be snappy and rude to you. She is in love with eating berries; and will not leave for a home that does not have them at least seasonal. She can be stubborn when it comes to joining a herd. She hates being made fun of; as she is significantly shorter, and lighter than most horse breeds around. She does not tolerate mean remarks or words; but she may put them aside if she thinks your the right stallion for herself to be with.
Appearance : Kenai is a Konik mare. She stands are roughly 14 hands high, if not just a bit shorter. 13.1 hands high is the normal average for her breed, and she weighs around 900 lb's, with is a little above average for her breed as well. Since she is a Konik, she is considered an 'old age breed'. This is because her coat is a grullo or grey color, and contains not only a dorsal stripe down her back, but dark zebras stripes along her four legs. Aside from this, her coat also grows lighter in the winter, blending in well with the snow. Her mane and tail are only slightly darker than her mane in spring, summer and fall, and significantly darker than her coat in the winter. Her eyes are a deep blue color that rather stick out from her coat. Her fore-lock over hangs on her forehead, but does not cover her eyes. She could be described a a short yet stocky female, as she is quite that. Her longs carry most of her weight, and are fairly strong. Her hooves are large as well, and are a dark creme color, not grullo but not grey either.
History : Kenai was born into a very large herd that a single stallion ran. Their were hundreds of other horses around; and almost all of them were Koniks like Kenai. But, Kenai, when she was born, was much shorter than the other newborn Konik foals, and she was often ridiculed for it. Her chubby foal frame didn't help much either. Her mother care for her, somewhat, and her father was always busy keeping his large herd safe. Kenai grew to be about a year and a half before the large band scattered when a group came through, trying to steal mares for themselves. Kenai was caught in the cross fire, and snaked away along with a few older mares to a new herd; where the stallion didn't care much. It was from this stallion that she took in her rather un-tasteful and snappy side. The other mares didn't like him much, but didn't really have a choice. Kenai took a small fancy to the older brute, however, though managed to scatter the group when an opposing stallion came to close. Its been since then that Kenai sticks around the forest, munching on the grass that grew in meadows, and the occasional berry or twenty.
